Before Contacting Support
Please check the following before reaching out:
- Check the FAQ - Your question might already be answered
- Ensure you’re running the latest version of TrashTab
- Try restarting the app - Many issues can be resolved with a simple restart
- Check your iOS version - Make sure you’re running a supported version of iOS
What to Include in Your Support Request
To help us assist you faster, please include:
- Your device model (iPhone XX, iPad XX)
- iOS version
- TrashTab version number
- A clear description of the issue
- Steps to reproduce the problem (if applicable)
- Screenshots (if helpful for understanding the issue)
Common Issues & Solutions
Data Loss Issues
- Issue: “I lost my debt records”
- Solution: Always maintain regular backups using the Export feature. Check if you have an iCloud backup available.
App Crashes
- Issue: “The app keeps crashing”
- Solution: Try force-quitting the app, restarting your device, or reinstalling the app.
Import/Export Problems
- Issue: “I can’t import/export files”
- Solution: Ensure you’ve granted file access permissions. Check that the file format is correct (.json).
