Before Contacting Support

Please check the following before reaching out:

  1. Check the FAQ - Your question might already be answered
  2. Ensure you’re running the latest version of TrashTab
  3. Try restarting the app - Many issues can be resolved with a simple restart
  4. Check your iOS version - Make sure you’re running a supported version of iOS

What to Include in Your Support Request

To help us assist you faster, please include:

  • Your device model (iPhone XX, iPad XX)
  • iOS version
  • TrashTab version number
  • A clear description of the issue
  • Steps to reproduce the problem (if applicable)
  • Screenshots (if helpful for understanding the issue)

Common Issues & Solutions

Data Loss Issues

  • Issue: “I lost my debt records”
  • Solution: Always maintain regular backups using the Export feature. Check if you have an iCloud backup available.

App Crashes

  • Issue: “The app keeps crashing”
  • Solution: Try force-quitting the app, restarting your device, or reinstalling the app.

Import/Export Problems

  • Issue: “I can’t import/export files”
  • Solution: Ensure you’ve granted file access permissions. Check that the file format is correct (.json).
