Import a Code File
Import from within the App
- Open CodeViewer
- Tap + on the home screen
- Pick a file from the system file picker
Import from Files or other Apps
- In another app or the Files app, open a code file (e.g.,
.js,.ts,.py,.java) and choose Open in… / Share - Select CodeViewer
- The file appears in the in‑app library
View Only
- CodeViewer focuses on viewing code with syntax highlighting. It does not include an editor.
Share
- Use the top‑right Share button on the preview screen to send the original file via the iOS share sheet.
- Files are shared through the system sheet; the App does not upload your files to any server.
Purchases
- Pro access can be unlocked by a monthly/yearly subscription or a one‑time lifetime purchase.
- Free: import up to 30 files. Pro: unlimited imports.
- To restore on a new device, use Restore Purchases in the App.
- Subscriptions are managed in Apple ID settings: App Store → Profile → Subscriptions.
Troubleshooting
- Import shows nothing
- Try using the Files app’s “Open in…” with CodeViewer; some apps share as generic data.
- Long lines seem cut off
- The preview wraps long lines automatically. If a line looks clipped, reopen the file to re‑layout.
- Purchase succeeded but Pro not unlocked
- Return to the App, wait a few seconds, or tap Restore Purchases. If on TestFlight, confirm you used a Sandbox account for the purchase flow.
