Does CodeViewer collect personal data?
Does CodeViewer collect personal data?
No. CodeViewer does not collect, store, or share personal data. See the Privacy Policy.
What does Pro unlock?
Free: import up to 30 files. Pro: unlimited imports.
Can users add new code files within the App?
Yes.
- Open CodeViewer
- Tap + on the home screen
- Pick a file from the system file picker
How are duplicate file names handled?
File names include the extension. For example, demo.js and demo.ts are different files.
CodeViewer does not overwrite existing files. If a file with the same name already exists in the library, the import will be cancelled.
To import another copy, rename the file in the Files app before importing. In some cases iOS may provide a renamed copy (for example name-1.ext) when sharing the same file multiple times.
Why can’t I see subscriptions in Settings?
Only auto‑renewable subscriptions appear under Apple ID → Subscriptions. One‑time lifetime purchases do not appear there; restore them via Restore Purchases in the App.
Why can’t I set CodeViewer as the default app for code files?
iOS does not allow third‑party apps to force “always open with.” Use “Open in…” / “Share” to select CodeViewer.
Where are shared files?
Files are shared via the iOS share sheet (to Files, email, or other apps). CodeViewer does not upload files to any server.
My code shows only part of a long line
CodeViewer wraps long lines automatically for readability. If a line looks clipped due to layout, reopen the file to re‑layout.
TestFlight vs Sandbox
- TestFlight uses your real Apple ID to install builds (no charge).
- Purchases should be tested with a Sandbox tester account (Settings → App Store → Sandbox Account).
