Import a Markdown File
- In WeChat or Files, open the
.mdfile and choose Open in… / Share. - Select MDViewer. The file is automatically saved into the in‑app library.
- You can find it on the home screen and open its details page anytime.
Edit Source
- By default, the Source tab is read‑only to avoid accidental edits.
- Tap Edit to start editing; changes are auto‑saved (throttled). Tap Done to exit edit mode.
Export
- PNG: Exports the full document as a single long image. On iOS, the App can save it directly to Photos (permission required).
- PDF: Exports a multi‑page PDF (automatic pagination) and opens the system share sheet.
If Photos permission was previously denied, go to Settings → Privacy → Photos → MDViewer and allow access.
Purchases
- Pro access can be unlocked by a monthly/yearly subscription or a one‑time lifetime purchase.
- To restore on a new device, use Restore Purchases in the App.
- Subscriptions are managed in Apple ID settings: App Store → Profile → Subscriptions.
Troubleshooting
- Export shows nothing or partial content
- Ensure you are on the Preview tab when exporting; for very long documents, wait a moment for rendering.
- Cannot see the App in “Open in…”
- Some apps share files as generic data; try using the Files app to open the
.mdfile with MDViewer.

- Purchase succeeded but Pro not unlocked
- Go back to the App, wait a few seconds, or tap Restore Purchases. If on TestFlight, confirm you used a Sandbox account for the purchase flow.
