Import a Markdown File

  1. In WeChat or Files, open the .md file and choose Open in… / Share.
  2. Select MDViewer. The file is automatically saved into the in‑app library.
  3. You can find it on the home screen and open its details page anytime.

Edit Source

  • By default, the Source tab is read‑only to avoid accidental edits.
  • Tap Edit to start editing; changes are auto‑saved (throttled). Tap Done to exit edit mode.

Export

  • PNG: Exports the full document as a single long image. On iOS, the App can save it directly to Photos (permission required).
  • PDF: Exports a multi‑page PDF (automatic pagination) and opens the system share sheet.

If Photos permission was previously denied, go to Settings → Privacy → Photos → MDViewer and allow access.

Purchases

  • Pro access can be unlocked by a monthly/yearly subscription or a one‑time lifetime purchase.
  • To restore on a new device, use Restore Purchases in the App.
  • Subscriptions are managed in Apple ID settings: App Store → Profile → Subscriptions.

Troubleshooting

  • Export shows nothing or partial content
    • Ensure you are on the Preview tab when exporting; for very long documents, wait a moment for rendering.
  • Cannot see the App in “Open in…”
    • Some apps share files as generic data; try using the Files app to open the .md file with MDViewer.
  • Purchase succeeded but Pro not unlocked
    • Go back to the App, wait a few seconds, or tap Restore Purchases. If on TestFlight, confirm you used a Sandbox account for the purchase flow.
