MDViewer (“the App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.

Summary

  • The App does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information.
  • Photos permission is requested only to save exported images you explicitly create.
  • In‑App Purchases are processed by Apple; the App does not receive your payment details.

Data Collection

  • The App does not implement analytics, advertising SDKs, or third‑party trackers.
  • No personal data is transmitted to external servers by the App.

Photos Permission

  • Purpose: When you export a document as PNG, the App requests access to add that image to your Photo Library.
  • Scope: The App does not read, upload, or analyze your existing photos. Only the exported image is written.
  • You can deny this permission; in that case, PNG export to Photos will not be available.

Files Access

  • When you open a .md file from WeChat or the Files app, the App saves a copy into its in‑app library so that you can preview, edit, and export it later.
  • These files remain on your device unless you delete them from within the App.

In‑App Purchases

  • Subscriptions or lifetime purchases are handled by Apple via the App Store.
  • The App does not process or store payment information.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Children’s Privacy

  • The App is not directed to children under 13.
  • The App does not knowingly collect any personal information.

Security

  • Because the App does not collect or transmit personal data, typical server‑side security risks do not apply.
  • Files and exports remain on your device unless you choose to share them through the iOS share sheet.
