What is Daily Light?

Daily Light on the Daily Path is a devotional app that provides 365 daily readings, each including a spiritual message and related Scripture passages for meditation and reflection.

Does Daily Light require an internet connection?

No, Daily Light works entirely offline. All devotional content and Scripture readings are stored locally on your device.

Data & Privacy

Where is my data stored?

Your reading progress (current day) is stored locally on your iOS device. We don’t have access to your data.

Is my reading progress backed up?

Your progress is included in your regular iCloud backups if you have iCloud Backup enabled.

Does the app collect any personal information?

No. We don’t collect any personally identifiable information. Your reading habits remain private.

Usage Questions

How do I navigate between days?

  • Swipe left to go to the next day.
  • Swipe right to go to the previous day.
  • Tap the center of the screen to open the table of contents, then select any date.

How do I find a specific day’s reading?

Tap the center of the screen to open the table of contents. All 365 readings are listed there. Simply tap any date to jump to that reading.

Will my position be saved when I close the app?

Yes. Your current reading position is automatically saved and restored when you reopen the app.

Content Questions

Where does the devotional content come from?

Daily Light contains the classic “Daily Light on the Daily Path” devotional, a collection of daily readings compiled from Scripture passages.

Can I share a specific reading?

Currently, the app does not have a built-in sharing feature. You can use your device’s screenshot functionality to share content manually.

Troubleshooting

The app doesn’t open correctly

Try force-quitting the app and reopening it. If the problem persists, restart your device.

My reading progress was lost

Your progress should be preserved through app updates if you have iCloud Backup enabled.

The content appears incorrectly

The devotional content is optimized for English. Some characters or formatting may not display correctly on older devices.
